The Housing Operations Office is starting an FAQ series! Check in every week / month for the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Q: Can I stay on campus for Thanksgiving break?
A: Yes, but the dining commons and the Bridge will be closed. Check with them for last/first meal times.

Q: Can I move next semester?
A: Yes, probably. You need to begin the process by meeting with your Area Coordinator

Merrill – Kalyn Stroik (Dakin/Merrill Area Office)

Dakin – Dana Olivo (Dakin/Merrill Area Office)

            Greenwich/Enfield – Araiña Muñiz (G/E Area Office)

Prescott – Chris Hines (Prescott Area Office)

Q: Can I move off-campus?
A: It is highly unlikely at this time. Process begins with meeting with your Area Coordinator (see above) to get permission to apply. All applications will be waitlisted, with options to appeal.

Q: When do I have to leave for Winter Break?
A: Houses close at 9pm on Friday, Dec 19.

Q: But I have an exam on the 19th/my plane ticket is for the 20th – what do I do?
A: Email housing@hampshire.edu for information about late stay.

Looking for something to do on this glorious snow day? Seems like a great opportunity to make sure your common area is ready for this semester’s round of fire, health, and safety inspections!

Starting next week, Res Life and Housing staff will be entering each and every common area (hallways, lounges, stairwells, living rooms, and kitchens), just to make sure the Community Norms found in NSNS (https://handbook.hampshire.edu/node/43) are being upheld. See this picture for a list of the most common violations, and don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!!

If you are returning from leave, field-study, or exchange for the spring 2014 semester, you are welcome to begin moving in as early as Sunday, January 19, at 10am. Room assignments can be found on the Hub! Please pick up your keys from the HOO upon arrival to campus. We will be open on Sunday from 10 - 4, and Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 4:30. If you will be arriving outside of business hours, let us know so we can make alternate arrangements for you to get your keys.

Let us know if you have any questions, and welcome back!!!

Be Safe!!

Dear Students,

If you are still on campus, and are concerned that weather conditions have made it dangerous to travel today, you are permitted to stay. However, we expect you will vacate campus by 9am tomorrow morning, unless you have been previously approved to stay later. Please be aware, onecards will not function after 9pm tonight.
